During his time at Luke Air Force Base, Dr. Meade taught the Air Force’s Top Knife program, an advanced training course focused on the physiological effects of high-performance flight and high-G environments. In recognition of his contributions to military medicine and aviation, he was named Air Education and Training Command (AETC) Flight Surgeon of the Year in 2015.

Dr. Meade completed his residency in Occupational and Environmental Medicine through the University of California San Francisco, while simultaneously earning a Master of Public Health degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Following residency, he served as an Occupational Medicine Specialist in the Air Force until his retirement from military service in 2020.
